June Meeting Report
The Lamb Club met on June 3rd for the sixth time this year. Andrew Graber did the American pledge, and Trey Graber did the 4-H pledge. Emily Yoder did the devotions on John 8:12. The skill-a-thon was a fill in the blank worksheet showmanship. Andrea Holdeman showed us how to: prepare, and dress for open show, and how to set the lamb’s feet. The carcass show is on July 11th after the first work night. If you are showing a lamb for the carcass show your lamb must be at least 90 pounds. Every 4-H’er must work two shifts in the lamb booth, and a parent in your family must work one shift for every 4-H’er in Lamb Club. Every Lamb Club member must have four skill-a-thons completed. Anyone who has not finished all four skill-a-thons, has to write a half of a page for every skill-a-thon needed. If you have a word that describes 4-H to you, text your word to 612-1337. Your word will be used on shirts that you can buy. Short sleeve shirts cost $12, and long sleeve shirts cost $15. The judge this year is Brad Ellerbrock. The sheep posters are worth 40 points, and the poster can be on anything that in voles sheep; don’t forget the poster is due the July meeting. Please fill out the achievement application hand book; it is a green paper in the back of a green book.

May Meeting Report
The Lamb Club met on May 6 for the fifth time this year. Austin Bernicky did the American pledge, and Chandler Gillam did the 4-H pledge. Ethan Stutzman did the devotions for the night. The skill-a-thon was a fill in the blank and multiple choice worksheets on sheep wool. The carcass show is after the July 11th work night. If you want to be in the carcass show your lamb must be at least ninety pounds. Every 4-H’er must sign-up for two shifts in the lamb booth. A parent in the family must work one shift for every 4-H’er in their family. Rec night is a pool party on June 15th at Mikayla Rayburn’s house. Her address is 60650 CR 21 Goshen. Hotdogs will be provided, but you can bring snacks, and desserts if you want. If you want to swim bring or wear swimming suit. Parents are allowed to come if they want, parents don’t have to wear swimming suits if they don’t want to. Any 4-H’er interested in being an officer next year should contact the leaders. On June 1st come and help clean-up the fairgrounds, bring: gloves, rakes, and shovels. If you want to do the financial skill-a-thon, it is on the website. You need four skill-a-thon to get your fair pass. If you need more skill-a-thons , you need to write a ½ page per skill-a-thon.

April Meeting Report
The lamb club met on April 8, 2013 for the fourth time this year. Meagan Kelly did the American pledge, and Marissa Lorenz did the 4-H pledge. Hannah Stutzman did the devotions for the night. You can enroll in lamb club by April 15, 2013. It costs $15 per 4-Her with a maximum of $45 a family. Make sure every Lamb Club member works two shifts and a parent has to work one shift for every Lamb Club member in their family. The retinal scanning and ear tagging dates are Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 6pm-9pm, Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6pm-9pm, and Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 7am-10am. If you are bringing eight or more lambs to retinal scanning and ear tagging, you need to sign up for a time slot. Bring: your name, years in 4-H, years in lamb club, know what breed your lambs are, bring premise ID, and bring ewes and market lambs. The show camp is on May 11, 2013 from 9 am- 5 pm at the Beef and Dairy arena. If you want to participate in the show camp, you must turn in registration forms to Karrin by May 1, 2013. The carcass show at least 90 pounds; it is on July 11, 2013 after the first work night. The skill-a-thon for the night was a power point, and level one did a multiple choice sheet and levels two and three did a fill in the blank sheet on sheep nutrition. The 4-H Judge will be Bread Ellerbrock and he is from Atkinson, Illinois.

March Meeting Report
The lamb club met on March 4, 2013 for the third meeting this year. Emily Yoder did the devotions for the night on Hebrews 21:1. Robert Kelly is a new Extension Officer. Make sure every Lamb Club member works two shifts and a parent has to work one shift for every Lamb Club member in their family. March 28, 2013 is bingo night at Waterford Crossing. The show camp is on May 11, 2013 from 9 am- 5 pm. If you are interested contact the leaders. The skill-a-thon for the night was meat cuts and body parts. The 4-H Judge will be Bread Ellerbrock and he is from Atkinson, Illinois

February Meeting Report
The Elkhart County 4-H Lamb Club met for the second time this year on February 4, 2013 in the Sheep & Swine Arena. Ethan Stutzman gave the devotion for the night on Micah 6:8. Grant Sanchez led the 4-H pledge and Brooke Sanchez led the American pledge. Registration is $15 per 4-Her, with a maximum of $45 per family. Sometime this year, we will have community service projects including playing Bingo with nursing home residents and cleaning up the fairgrounds. If you want a club sweatshirt, it is $25 per sweatshirt and the money is due at the March meeting. The farm tour day is Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 10am-1pm at the Dave Sark farm and Dr. Kelly’s farm. If you want to turn in a T-shirt sketch, it is due at the March meeting. The retinal scanning and ear tagging dates are Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 6pm-9pm, Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6pm-9pm, and Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 7am-10am. The showmanship camp will be Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 9am-5pm. The skill-a-thon for the night was a fill in the blank for Sheep Health.

January Meeting Report
The Elkhart County 4-H Lamb Club met on January 7, 2013 for our first meeting of 2013. Hannah Stutzman did our devotions for the night. Brian led the American pledge and Elden Burtsfield led the 4-H pledge. Our skill-a-thon for the night was breeds of sheep.
